San Juan, P.R. – The Department of Musical Education and General Studies of the Puerto Rico Conservatory of Music will hold its Thirty-Ninth Musical Education Forum titled “Musical Education for All.”

It will take place on Friday, October 4, 2024 from 8:30am – 4:45pm, in the Jesús María Sanromá Room of the Bertita and Guillermo L. Martínez Theater, of the Conservatory of Music in Miramar.

For the past thirty-eight years, this event has served the purpose of serving as a stage for the exchange of ideas among the country's music teachers.

This has become one of the most anticipated academic professional development events for our educators by offering them the opportunity to participate in workshops and conferences on topics of interest in the field of music and music education.

On this occasion, the Forum will focus on topics related to the needs of the exceptional student in the regular classroom applied to music teaching, as support to our educators regarding the new certification requirement of the Puerto Rico Department of Education.

The Forum will have several highly esteemed resources, which have vast experience and dedication in their field. Among these will participate: Dr. Ana Miró Mejías, Dr. Marta Hernández Candelas, and Prof. Natalia M. Rodríguez Santiago. Likewise, we will have the participation of professors Guarionex Morales Matos, Daniel Alejandro Tapia Santiago, Julio César Ortiz García, Jorge M. Jiménez Martínez and Enrique Matos Martínez.

Additionally, a professional development certificate will be offered for those who request it (requires additional cost).
