A brief introduction to the technique of relief engraving and woodcut will be offered. Historical context and foundations. A demonstration is presented on the use of materials, use of the gouge, cuts and registration. Then the inking method is demonstrated and each participant will put into practice the registration, inking and manual printing of the matrix on paper.
