The 4th edition of the Vieques International Human Rights Film Festival (FCDHV) took place from February 1 to 4, 2024. This edition had the right to remain as its main focus. This is understood as "the right to remain on our land, in our homes and neighborhoods without being displaced or forced out; this right facilitates a full quality of life, and the enjoyment of our natural assets and human rights."
The Vieques Film and Human Rights Festival (FCDHV) emerges as an educational, participation tool and an element of community cohesion with emphasis on the promotion and defense of human rights.
The festival, of an international nature, is a space for promoting and strengthening local film projects and initiatives focused on or with a human rights perspective, highlighting the role of communities in the realization and consolidation of human rights, memory, truth and justice.
