Bomba y Plena Festival

50 Years of the Bomba y Plena Festival: Posters by Puerto Rican Graphic Masters features works by artists David Goitía, José R. Alicea, Luis Maisonet, Sixto Cotto, Luis Alonso, Nelson Sambolín, Jesús Cardona, Osvaldo Dowell and includes posters by painters such as Samuel Lind, Dennis Mario, Wichie Torres and Rafael Trelles, among others. This collection also provides a generational overview by including posters by the sculptor and draftsman, Yehimar Ureña, graphic artists such as Zinthia Vázquez and Jorge Vargas, and designs by Elsa María Meléndez and Roberto Silva.The rhythms of the bomb will complement this collection, a prelude to the Bombazo Criollo de Caguas in its 11th edition, an event coordinated by the Department of Cultural Development that is held on the Paseo de las Artes in front of the museum starting at 3:00 p.m. of that same day.
